bonthebrink has changed from its originary form, a blog without borders or focus or a need to justify itself. This space is now blue and red lines only, with a long expanse of white to fill. You can read the impetus for the hockey bent here.
What began as a lark — writing an article about hockey for pennies (literally!) on helium.com — in the pre-job collecting period of 2011 has become a space for me to think through, to question, and to wonder about this game on ice. Your comments and thoughts are always welcome, with this caveat: that they contribute to or further thinking and dialogue on the game.
Links to other blogs, articles, photos, etc. are always welcome, and part of my task here is to up my own game and start doing more than just, you know, writing. I hear there are all kinds of crazy things (images! videos! links! widgets!) that become part of this experience, and it’s part of the project for me to bring this in and find out what works.
I love this game with a passion previously unknown to me, and I hope that both you and I are entertained or intrigued by what follows. Cause, you know,
